In a paper signed by Jennifer Bell in Al Arabiya English on 2 December 2022, it is said that the Kingdom has submitted its candidature to host the AFC Women's Asian Cup in 2026, marking another momentous moment for women's football in Saudi Arabia.
"Saudi Arabia’s move to bid for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup builds on its expression of interest earlier this year and exemplifies the nation’s efforts to unlock untapped potential and opportunities for women and girls across Asia," writes Bell.
